With everyone getting over from the festive period, people’s thoughts are now turning to Easter and Spring breaks and also Summer holidays. www.openroadscotland.com has seen a lot of enquiries since January 1st for Motorhome and Campervan holidays. As well as the grim economic situation, the strength of the £ against the € is going to be a big factor for UK tourism businesses this year, and I sense more people will be staying at home for their holidays. Hopefully our new 2 person budget camper offerings will be of interest to people watching the pennies and also the great value of a Motorhome holiday should mean good business also…. We live in hope…

Progress with the VW T5 Conversion

The first VW which we bought is currently undergoing conversion from a standard panel van into a very cool 2 berth campervan. So far the internal bulkhead has been removed and windows have been added. Next stage is to start lining the back area and then installing the bed and units in the back. These will be great little vans for 2 people taking a holiday in Scotland. Fuel efficient and cheap to run with all your home comforts. Much better than lugging a tent around and setting it up every day. Pictures of the conversion will be getting put on the site through January as it starts to take place – www.openroadscotland.com
